What it is
Methandrostenolone (also known as methandienone, or simply ‘Dianabol’) is one of the earliest commercially successful anabolic steroids developed specifically for athletic performance. Developed by CIBA in 1958 in collaboration with Dr. John Ziegler for the U.S. weightlifting team.
C-17 alpha-alkylated, orally active. Aromatizes to estradiol. Historically associated with rapid initial weight gain (much of it intracellular water).
