What it is
Mesterolone — a derivative of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) originally developed by Schering. Historically prescribed for male infertility and hypogonadism.
Acts primarily by binding sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG), which can increase the proportion of free (bioavailable) testosterone in circulation, rather than as a strong anabolic agent itself. Non-aromatizing. Most often discussed in ancillary/support contexts rather than as a primary anabolic.
