What it is
BPC-157 (“Body Protective Compound 157”) is a synthetic pentadecapeptide — a 15-amino-acid sequence derived from a larger protective protein originally identified in human gastric juice.
What it’s studied for
Animal-model research has examined BPC-157 for tendon-to-bone healing, ligament repair, muscle crush injury recovery, gastrointestinal protection, and effects on the vascular endothelium. Most studies are in rats; well-controlled human clinical trials are limited.
